Jerry Lorenzo

 

Arguably heralded as the Streetwear designer of the year, Jerry Lorenzo has taken his faith based brand to new heights and sees no end in sight.

Born in Sacramento, CA and son of Jerry Manual (former Chicago White Sox GM), Lorenzo started off as a stockroom associate for Diesel before beginning his career in sports marketing (working at a Chicago based agency that represented clients to the likes of Donavan McNabb and Dwyane Wade). Upon closing that chapter of his life Jerry worked as a party promoter in Chicago before relocating to LA in 2010. It didn’t take long after that for Lorenzo to invest his savings into his true passion; creating a fashion brand of his own.

After releasing his first collection, Jerry struck a golden opportunity to collaborate with Kanye West, APC and the Yeezy Season One collection. His success has not been overnight. Each experience has prepped Jerry Lorenzo for this moment his brand is experiencing. Outside of strengthening his core line of products, his collaborations with Nike have made him a force to be reckoned with (according to StockX, his most coveted sneaker re-sells for roughly $5,500).One of the most significant updates to the line in the last year was the general release of Fear of God Essentials. Often referenced as the Essentials collection, Jerry has successfully pleased the market with a diffusion line that offers basics at at a palatable price point without sacrificing the integrity of the brand.
